US House Speaker Pelosi: Negotiations on government spending bill are making progress

The US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Monday that negotiations on government funding that will include coronavirus relief are making progress, according to Reuters. 

Last week, President-elect Joe Biden said that the government could implement another round of coronavirus stimulus checks for families. The world's largest economy is battling a second wave of coronavirus. 

Pelosi's comments could bolster bullish pressures around risk currencies such as the AUD and other commodity dollars.
