US' Ross: Texas has to do what it thinks is best to help stem pandemic

It's natural there will be some little interruptions to the economy as the US emerges from the pandemic, US Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross told Fox Business Network on Friday.

Ross further noted that the expects consumers to drive the recovery and said that the expects a "strong upward direction" for the economy in the second half of the year.

Commenting on Texas governor's decision to close bars and lower restaurant capacity to 50%, "Texas has to do what it thinks is best to help stem pandemic," Ross said.
