BOJ's Kuroda: ETF purchases necessary, unlikely to achieve price goal before FY 2020

Bank of Japan Governor Kuroda on Wednesday said that purchases of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) is still a necessary policy step as it helps reduce risk premiums. 

Kuroda added further that the central bank is unlikely to reach the 2 percent price target before the financial year 2020.
