ECB lending survey: Banks see rising loan demand, easing credit standards in Q3

Here are some of the key results from the ECB's July 2018 Euro area bank lending survey, released this Tuesday.

   •  Bank credit standards eased for corporate, mortgage and consumer loans in Q2.
   •  Loan demand rose in Q2 in all three categories. 
   •  Easing of credit standards in Q2 driven by narrowing margins.
   •  Q2 corporate loan demand rise driven by low rates, inventories, working capital and M&A.
   •  Banks see rising loan demand, easing credit standards in all categories in Q3.
