Japan’s Aso: Closely watching US tariff moves against China

Japanese Finance Minister Taro Aso was on the wires earlier today, via Reuters, responding to ongoing US-China trade rift.

Key Points:

He would closely watch the United States’ move to impose tariffs on up to $60 billion of Chinese goods.

“Japan, as well as the United States, understands the importance of strengthening and effectively enforcing protection of intellectual property.”
