Dijsselbloem: Greece has closed the door on future talks
FXStreet (Córdoba) - Arriving at Eurogroup meeting in Brussels, Eurogroup head Jeroen Dijsselbloem told reporters that he was very negatively surprised by Greek government’s decision to call a referendum.
“That is a sad decision for Greece, for it has closed the door on future talks”, he added.
Meanwhile, Malta’s finance minister, Edward Scicluna, told reporters that the referendum has come as a shock to the Eurogroup. He stated that the referendum should have been called months ago once it became clear that the problem was Greek government’s mandate and not individual measures.
