NZD/USD falls to 1-week lows

FXStreet (Córdoba) - NZD/USD resumed the decline and printed a 1-week low at 0.7736 as the US dollar strengthened across the board.

The pair started the week with a bearish gap trading at 0.7785 and dropped further, bottoming at 0.7743. After a modest rebound, consolidated during the last hours until recently broke below the previous lows.

NZD/USD below 20-SMA

Price remains near the lows, around 0.7739, 60 pips below Wednesday’s closing price and it has fallen back below the daily 20-SMA that currently stands at 0.7755, giving a potential signal of weakness.

USD/JPY holds gains, US data in focus

The US dollar continued its uptrend against the Japanese yen in the mid-European session, extending gains for the second straight session as traders see risk-on mood returning into the markets.
