GBP/USD hits fresh 1-year low below 1.5700
FXStreet (Córdoba) - The pound kept falling across the board during the American session, unable to find support. GBP/USD reached a fresh 1-year low at 1.5692 and then bounced slightly back above 1.5700.
Currently trades at 1.5711, down 0.45% for the day and 1% over the week. The pair made a pause during the Asian session but then broke below 1.5750 and extended the decline until if found support around 1.5700.
GBP down across the board
Cable is headed toward the lowest daily close since September 9, 2013 after losing more than 200 pips since the release of the Bank of England’s Inflation Report yesterday. The sterling also dropped to the lowest level in four week against the euro and the Swiss franc and to ten-week lows versus the aussie.
