UK: GDP up 0.9% in Q2

FXStreet (Łódź) - On a quarterly basis UK GDP increased 0.9% in Q2, following the 0.8% rise registered the previous quarter, according to data released today by National Statistics. This result is slightly higher than market consensus of +0.8%.

Year-over-year GDP rose 3.2% in Q2, up from +3.0% in Q1, as expected.

German labor market revival softer but still solid - ING

Carsten Brzeski from ING comments on the German employment figures released in the European morning, showing an increase in the number of unemployed people of 13,000 and an unchanged unemployment rate at 6.7%.
